The court convicted because prosecution proved identity (14.22g Methamphetamine) by qualified chemical evidence, proved possession by finding the marked exhibits inside the defendant's right front jeans pocket with uninterrupted chain of custody and credible witness testimony, and the defence explanation (planted evidence/bare denial) was inconsistent and did not raise reasonable doubt; accordingly all elements of s12(2) ADB were proved and the aggravated sentencing band under s39A(1) ADB applied.
