The Registrar's refusal to dispense with security for costs was upheld because the appellants failed to discharge the onus of proving impecuniosity; additionally the underlying appeal was meritless because the primary claim was barred by s 317 ACC, there was no reasonable basis for exemplary damages, and the secondary plaintiffs could not maintain nervous shock claims; accordingly security for costs of $5,880 was required to be paid by 28 November 2014.
