Offending involving multiple closed‑fist strikes, strikes to the head and joint attack justified an 18‑month starting point (upper band 2); applying a 25% discount for very early plea and a 5% reduction for genuine remorse and rehabilitation yielded 12.6 months, and because the defendant had minimal relevant prior offending, concrete rehabilitation steps and a suitable address, six months' home detention (concurrent on both charges) was the least restrictive appropriate sentence.
