The conviction was quashed because the cumulative effect of delay not attributable to the applicant, transfer causing unavailability of a key witness, last‑minute loss of legal counsel and refusal to adjourn, and the resultant inability to rely on the earlier hearing record produced an unfair process contrary to natural justice.
