A neutral professional executor who, without personal interest, reasonably propounds a will and submits to the court's directions in hostile beneficiary disputes is entitled to a prospective costs indemnity from the estate for reasonable solicitor and own client costs and disbursements incurred in fulfilling that neutral role and preparing for the substantive probate hearing, subject to later review for unreasonableness and not amounting to an immunity from costs.
