Although the applicant committed serious misconduct by repeatedly accessing the Police NIA for personal family reasons and failed to obtain fully informed supervisory consent, the misconduct was motivated by genuine concern for a child, was characterised as an isolated serious error, resulted in disciplinary sanction short of dismissal, the applicant demonstrated remorse and support from referees and an employer, disclosed the disciplinary finding to NZLS, and the Court was satisfied on balance that the applicant is presently fit and proper to be admitted; accordingly admission was ordered su…
