The respondent satisfactorily established that Mr L's detention under the s13 notice of the MHA was lawful by producing a valid certificate and contemporaneous clinical reasons; the applicant failed to demonstrate any legal defect (clerical oversight, clinician registration matters, or an earlier dated private report) sufficient to render detention unlawful, therefore the habeas corpus application was declined.
