GF8 owed a duty of care to the Urliches as supplier and designer of the K3T panels, breached that duty by supplying and specifying a defective product and defective design, and engaged in misleading or deceptive conduct under s9 FTA by mischaracterising the product and the effect of the CodeMark certificate; those breaches caused the plaintiffs' losses and GF8 was ordered to pay special and general damages, interest and costs.
