On the balance of probabilities the medical evidence did not establish that the December 2007 accident was the effective or substantial cause of the appellant's chronic pain; competing medical opinion favoured degenerative and psychosocial causes, the decisive causation opinion was ambiguous and unsupported by reasons, ACC had adequately investigated the claim, and therefore the appellant was not entitled to cover — appeal dismissed.
