The deeming provision in s252(6) treats WINZ benefit payments as having satisfied ACC's payment obligations for all purposes; therefore ACC's liability to pay interest under s114 is limited to interest on the shortfall only. The fact that the claimant repaid WINZ directly does not change the legal character of the WINZ payments as deemed ACC payments and does not entitle the claimant to interest on the full backdated amount.
