Appellant failed to discharge the onus of proving on the balance of probabilities that his current osteoarthritis was causally connected to the 1974 accident; the Court preferred the comprehensive medical opinion (Mr Nicholson) supported by earlier contemporaneous findings and imaging which diagnosed synovial chondromatosis unrelated to trauma, therefore the respondent's denial of weekly compensation was correct.
