On the balance of probabilities the medical evidence then available (MRI and specialist opinions) established that the covered neck sprain had resolved and ongoing symptoms were attributable to lumbar internal disc disruption and left frozen shoulder unrelated to the 14 August 2014 neck sprain; therefore ACC had a sufficient basis under s117 and Ellwood to be not satisfied that the claimant remained entitled to weekly compensation for the neck sprain and suspension was lawful.
