CGA does not have extraterritorial effect such that it directly binds an overseas manufacturer not carrying on business in New Zealand; s 2(1)(c) of the CGA instead deems local importers/distributors to be manufacturers for CGA purposes. Alucobond panels attached to buildings fall within exclusion of 'goods' as part of a building and, in any event, are not 'goods ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use' so CGA causes fail against 3AC.
