    TAYLOR V JONES SC 88/2006

    Citation
    SC 88/2006
    Court
    Supreme Court

The High Court habeas corpus order of 18 October 2006 was a final order for appeal purposes so the Court of Appeal had jurisdiction; accordingly the Supreme Court allowed Taylor's appeal and quashed the High Court orders made on 18 October 2006 except for the order relating to publication of Taylor's name, ordered suppression of Taylor's name to lapse at 9 a.m. on 7 December 2006 and ordered the sealed affidavit returned to counsel; Skelton's appeal was dismissed and Keane J's imprisonment order was not separately before this Court.
