Possession of 438.8g methamphetamine was treated as the lead offence and placed towards the upper end of Zhang band three; a starting point of nine years for possession was uplifted by one year for totality of offending to 10 years; a 9-month uplift for prior record was applied and discounts of 20% for guilty pleas, 15% for s27/psychological mitigation, and 25% for an earlier forfeiture order were applied using the two-step approach to produce a global sentence of four years and nine months imprisonment; no minimum period of imprisonment was imposed.
