Baker v Accident Compensation Corporation
- Citation
- Baker v Accident Compensation Corporation
- Court
- District Court
The Court concluded on the balance of probabilities that immobilisation during the transfusions did not cause the DVT because the DVT was already present on admission; accordingly the ACC decision refusing coverage for transfusion-related immobilisation was upheld, but the matter was remitted to the Corporation to consider whether the April 2003 right-hand crush injury caused or contributed to the July 2003 DVT.
