On the evidence of substantial asset sales without full disclosure, disputed share transfers, apparent breaches of director duties, unpaid creditor liabilities and evidence of possible insolvency, the court was satisfied it was necessary and expedient under s246 to appoint interim liquidators to preserve the company's assets and protect creditors and shareholders pending resolution of the substantive liquidation application.
