The appeal was dismissed because the end sentence of two years and eight months imprisonment was within the available range and not manifestly excessive given the overall criminality: serious intimate partner violence on two consecutive days including strangulation following other violence, significant harm to the victim, multiple breaches of a protection order and the offender's relevant prior violent record including offending while under intensive supervision justified the starting point and uplifts despite an appearance of double counting.
