Section 252 operates regardless of whether the beneficiary repays the benefit directly; amounts received from WINZ are deemed to be payments of weekly compensation under s252(6), and therefore interest under s114 is not payable on the portion of compensation that was already paid or deemed paid by WINZ. The Cullen CA decision is binding and dispositive.
