Section 25 required the claim for interest under s24 to have been pleaded; because s24 was not pleaded there was no jurisdiction to award pre-judgment interest under s24. Even if jurisdiction existed, the court would not have awarded pre-judgment interest from 1 November 2013 and would have set 30 January 2019 at 2% had it done so. Instead, TPD was entitled to interest under the Act from the date of judgment to payment calculated under ss12-16. No uplift of costs was awarded; TPD/CNZ were awarded 2B costs $91,537.50 plus disbursements $36,438.01; security for costs was released.
