The Court exercised its discretion under s 32(7) to excuse the receivers from personal liability for rent and other payments for the period 12 September 2020 to 16 December 2020 because the receivers acted reasonably and diligently in attempting to sell the business, the continuation of negotiations was justified for the limited additional period, the receivers promptly issued non-use notices once sale prospects were exhausted, and no landlords opposed the relief; retrospective relief under s 32(7) is permissible in the circumstances.
