Starting point set at three years' imprisonment for participation in an organised criminal group with a two-month uplift for refusing to provide phone PIN, yielding 38 months; applying discounts of 20% for causative methamphetamine addiction, 10% for remorse and rehabilitation, and 30% for the guilty plea (total 60% reduction) reduced the sentence to 15 months which is below the two-year threshold and justified eight months' home detention as the least restrictive, appropriate sentence given rehabilitation prospects and other sentencing purposes.
