Defendant's culpability was comparable to recent co-offenders (starting point fixed at three years imprisonment); discounts of seven months for 15 months on 24-hour curfew/EM bail and five months (15%) for remorse and rehabilitation reduced the end sentence to two years, from which 12 months credit for prior custody was deducted yielding a one-year end sentence which was converted to six months home detention as appropriate given mitigation and risk of re-exposure to gang influences.
