The High Court admitted and took into account the new s 27 cultural report, found a demonstrated causal nexus between the appellant's traumatic upbringing and the offending, allowed an additional reduction equal to six months (a 9% reduction of the start point), and substituted a reduced sentence of two years and five months' imprisonment on the principal wounding count; other discounts (guilty plea, good character, remorse, EM bail) and the assessment that study on EM bail did not justify separate credit were upheld.
