On the balance of probabilities the Court was satisfied that the Chinese‑language document expressed the deceased's testamentary intentions and that the lack of witness signatures was plausibly explained by the deceased preparing the document without legal assistance; accordingly the Court granted an order under s14 Wills Act 2007 declaring the document a valid will and held the without‑notice procedure appropriate given the applicant was the sole person affected.
