Bank statements for the defendant's -00 and -01 accounts (and any accounts receiving parts of the NZD 1,050,000) for 2–10 November 2020 are relevant to several pleaded causes of action, there are prima facie grounds to believe the documents exist and may show funds were recycled, and production is proportionate and ordered on confidentiality terms; by contrast, any record of an agreement between the defendant and his mother is speculative, unlikely to advance issues on the pleadings and discovery of that category is refused.
