Applying the practical-route test in r1.3 and r5.1, and weighing distance, travel time and the nature and frequency of seasonal impassability, the Crown Range route did not render Invercargill impracticable; Invercargill is nearer to Wanaka by the most practicable route and the Court ordered transfer of the file to the Invercargill Registry.
