    The evidence presented did not establish the high threshold of 'extreme hardship' required by s200(2)(a); the mother's reported distress and GP notes were insufficient without expert evidence and the harms were largely ordinary consequences of the prosecution and convictions. Balancing the discretionary factors, including strong public interest, victims' opposition to suppression and open justice, the balance clearly favoured publication. Accordingly the interim suppression was not continued and the appeals were dismissed.
