The Court held that the Judge correctly placed the offending in band one of R v AM and that a seven‑year starting point was within range given additional violence and harm; the combined 15% discount for youth and good character plus 5% for restrictive bail was within the Judge's discretion; declining a remorse discount after trial was justified on the facts; therefore the resulting sentence of five years and seven months was not manifestly excessive and the appeal was dismissed.
