Both nominated trustee corporations were competent to administer the estate, but real and reasonably-founded distrust of Perpetual Trust by the principal beneficiary (Mrs Radich-Chaytor), arising from prior contacts between a Perpetual Trust officer and the plaintiff's lawyer, risked impeding efficient administration; weighing expertise against the need for an accepted, constructive relationship with beneficiaries, it was expedient under s 6(2) Administration Act 1969 to appoint Trustee Executors Ltd as sole administrator/executor.
