Apply R v Fatu banding: adopt Crown‑agreed starting point 5.5 years for commercial supply (162g total), uplift six months for extensive prior drug convictions, then apply reductions of 18 months for restrictive bail, 22 months (~40%) for severe ill‑health and 20% for guilty plea; the arithmetic yields an effective two years' imprisonment but, taking medical evidence and feasibility of monitoring into account, impose the maximum permissible period of home detention of 12 months with conditions commencing 1 May 2018.
