The court approved the proposed scheme because the original purpose of owning and operating a specific hospital had become impracticable and inexpedient, the proposed purposes remained charitable and accorded as closely as reasonably possible with the original objects, and the proposed extension of administrative powers (including trustee remuneration) was justified as facilitating the carrying out of those charitable purposes.
