Plaintiff failed to prove a recoverable loss; use of 2017 valuations for a contract breached in June 2009 was unjustified because of inordinate unexplained delay and inadequate evidence of reasonable attempts to resell or of financial impact; where no principled basis exists to depart from the breach date valuation rule, damages must be assessed at breach date, and plaintiff did not prove values or loss as at that date; claim dismissed.
