The appeal was dismissed and the Family Court strike-out under s206B(a) was upheld because the children's expressed wishes and clear physical manifestations of severe trauma demonstrated that continuation of the access proceedings (and any contact) would be clearly contrary to their welfare and best interests; further psychological assessment or supervised access would likely re-traumatise the children and would not alter that conclusion.
