The High Court held the District Court's starting point and uplifts were within range but allowed an additional 5% discount for proven good character (German criminal record) together with adjustments already made (5% remorse, 5% foreign national impact, 25% guilty plea) totalling 40% which reduced the 40 month adjusted starting point to an end sentence of 24 months; the original 26 month sentence was quashed and substituted with 24 months with leave to apply for home detention.
