Huffman v Accident Compensation Corporation

- District Court
Accommodation for the appellant's prolonged stay in Christchurch for Sportsmed physiotherapy is not payable because accommodation and linked transport under the Regulations are only payable to reach the nearest place where the required rehabilitation can be obtained, and there was no evidence Sportsmed provided unique treatment unavailable in Queenstown; however the appellant is entitled to accommodation for two nights related to two specialist (Mr Rietveld) attendances in Christchurch at the specified regulatory rate.
