The Judge had jurisdiction under s33 to make ancillary directions because the 2017 judgment was not final, parties had adequate notice and opportunity to be heard on the matters put before the court, and the Judge's exercise of discretion in issuing directions on the papers was lawful, not a breach of natural justice, and not plainly wrong; accordingly the appeal is dismissed.
