The Court granted leave because the applicant identified arguable questions of law under s162 concerning whether s72 (1992) or s114 (2001) governs interest and the legal meaning of 'receiving all information necessary'; the judge below had concluded the Corporation did not have necessary information until receipt of the statutory declaration on 7 July 2005, so interest accrued from 7 August 2005, but the legal questions identified justified High Court determination.
