Statutory provisions (Insolvency (Cross-border) Act 2006 art 25 and Bankruptcy Act 1966 s29) authorize assistance to Australian courts; the Official Assignee proved the respondent's bankruptcy and the existence of Australian assets and creditors, and there was no prejudice or arguable basis for contest, therefore leave to commence by originating application and a without‑notice application for a letter of request should be granted.
