On balance the specialist medical evidence of the neurosurgeon and orthopaedic surgeon established the respondent's ongoing condition is attributable to a longstanding developmental spondylolisthesis and its natural progression, not the compensable 1995 lifting injury; accordingly the Review Officer's decision reinstating cover was overturned.
