On the balance of probabilities it was in the interests of justice to grant bail pending sentence because imprisonment was not inevitable (home detention remained a distinct possibility), there was a realistic prospect of restorative justice, genuine remorse and caring responsibilities, no risk to others and no bail breaches, and EM bail could provide oversight demonstrating suitability for home detention.
