Weighing conflicting medical evidence the Court found on the balance of probabilities that the appellant's central cord syndrome was caused by the fall on 11 October 2009 rather than being wholly or substantially caused by pre-existing degenerative cervical stenosis; the specialist spinal opinion (Mr Singhal) and treating physician (Dr Taylor) were sufficiently persuasive to quash ACC's decision and grant cover for spinal cord compression.
