COOK v HOUSING NEW ZEALAND CORPORATION [2014] NZHC 683

- High Court
Leave to appeal was granted but the appeal was dismissed on the merits: the High Court held the Adjudicator and District Court did consider the contested evidence, properly discounted police reports and equivocal corroboration, reasonably fixed mowing reimbursement at $20 per fortnight and there was no evidential basis for a finding of actual or apparent bias; therefore the conclusions were open on the evidence.
