The District Court correctly held BTL had met the evidential onus: the cancellation notice was not effective before BTL's introduction (effective date was 5 October 2006), the chain of causation from BTL's introduction of Mr Liu to the sale was unbroken so commission was payable, and the Stanaway proceeding was speculative and did not preclude summary judgment; the appeal is dismissed.
