The court granted the liquidators' application: the Association's surplus assets are to be vested in the Northland Foundation for investment; the Alice O'Keeffe bequest is to be preserved and invested with returns paid to Deaf Aotearoa (or a suitable successor) for distribution in Whangarei consistent with the bequest's charitable purpose; the arrangement satisfies the charitable purposes and no interested parties objected; and the costs of disposing of the application are to be met from the Association's surplus funds.
