The High Court dismissed the appeal: the District Court judge properly exercised sentencing discretion; discounts for reparation and personal circumstances were within the appropriate range; although the method of applying the guilty plea discount favoured the appellant marginally, the final sentence of two years and five months was not manifestly excessive and required no adjustment.
