The sentencing judge did not err in principle or outcome; short-term abstinence evidenced by the Bridge report did not establish the necessary causal link to alter the sentence, and the appellant's six-month absconding negated prospects of rehabilitation such that the imposed sentence of five years and four months' imprisonment must stand.
