On the balance of probabilities the applicants satisfied the court that Crowley had testamentary capacity to execute the will on 7 August 2018: contemporaneous solicitor instructions, psychiatric evidence that ECT-related confusion was transient and did not preclude capacity, and clinical notes consistent with the change of beneficiaries supported capacity; alternatively, instructions given on 6 August 2018 met Parker v Felgate so the will stood.
