The appeal was dismissed because the appellant failed to establish on the balance of probabilities that he suffered an acute medial meniscal tear caused by the 7 March 2014 accident; the GP opinion was equivocal, there was delay in presentation, absence of confirmatory clinical signs, and the appellant declined further specialist assessment funded by ACC, making the respondent’s decision to accept sprain cover but not meniscal tear reasonable.
