Despite a lengthy unexplained delay by the plaintiffs that would ordinarily support costs lying where they fall, the defendant's decision to reject a reasonable settlement offer (receipt of $20,000 out of $50,000) and subsequent loss at trial warranted an award of costs to the plaintiffs on a 2B basis, adjusted for a calculation error; costs were quantified at $36,572 and disbursements at $3,557.
